...A cogent vocal delivery, great phrasing, a solid albeit beautiful ''personal'' vibrato, and if I might interject as well........... a killer artistic instinct. This is a singer who deals in the mellow, the eloquent, and all the romantic vagaries of song to share with us her listeners. And we are inspired to a higher musical plane as it were as we listen to the creative imagination of this hands down utterly talented and craft-specific chanteuse. Mark my words!! It's onward and upward for one Valeria Proano, transcendant jazz singer for our time.

My background is quite diverse, covering jazz, contemporary, and Latin American music. Throughout my career, I have performed on many prestigious international stages worldwide, including jazz clubs and festivals in Japan, China, Singapore, Turkey, Portugal, Germany, Belgium, Switzerland, Holland, Ecuador, and the United States.
I have a Bachelor’s degree in Studio Music and Jazz Vocal Performance from the University of Miami’s acclaimed Frost School of Music and a Master’s in Music Education from the University of Florida. Additionally, I have completed all three levels of master vocal pedagogue Jeannette LoVetri's Somatic Voicework™.
I have released two solo albums and collaborated on numerous side projects with various artists. My debut album, "Retrato en Blanco y Negro" in 2013
received three pre-nominations for the Grammy Music Awards and was well received by both critics and fans. Both albums featured A-List jazz musicians including Vince Mendoza, Nestor Torres, Troy Roberts, Diego Urcola, and Ray Vega and were produced by Carlomagno Araya.
