As far as I can remember, music was always a very special part of my life. No matter if I was happy or sad, it was something I always turned to to give me comfort, joy, and a sense of completeness that was hard to find anywhere else.
Although I have played piano and guitar since I was a little girl, for some reason, singing always felt the most intimate of the three. There is something about the human voice that carries a huge emotional weight. After all, when we sing, our bodies are our instruments.
The voice is a fascinating instrument, from how the sound is produced to the amazing things you can train your voice to do. As a vocal educator, I am passionate about helping my students find their unique voice and develop it to its fullest potential.
I primarily teach using the Somatic Voicework Method created by Jeannie LoVetri (whom I have the pleasure of working with). Somatic Voicework is a body-based method of vocal pedagogy that incorporates physical awareness, aural acuity, kinesthetic development, and vocal freedom. I strive to inspire and empower my students to express themselves confidently and authentically through their singing while strengthening, and freeing their voices.
I specialize in teaching contemporary commercial music (CCM) styles, including Jazz, Rock, Musicals, Pop and I work with students of all levels, from beginners to professionals.
I teach in German, English, Spanish, and Portuguese.
